Description
The 2nd book by Elizabeth Wheeler Clark - Addicted Through the Year was first published in 2001 and was the follow up book to Addicted to Baskets.
Addicted Through the Year is a comprehensive book with a large general instruction section leading to 38 patterns for a wide variety of weaving projects for all seasons.
Useful and more traditional projects include an Everyday Tote, Umbrella basket, Patriot's basket, flower gathering basket and a Cornucopia.
Classic baskets are given a twist for a holiday theme or special event like a Baby Shower basket, New Year's Eve market basket, Brian's Bunny Easter basket and the list goes on!
Several ornaments are included as well as a Shaker Christmas Tree basket, pumpkin basket and "Stack Frost" snowman.
Unusual and challenging projects include Carpenter's Blues basket that looks like a pair of jeans, a woven mug, stacked Coming & Going (office In & Out) baskets, a wishing well, a lidded gift box, graduation cap and scroll, 3-D Iris flower, Santa's Boot, Country Fair Milk Can and a Basketmaker's Binder.
A color glossary of baskets is included in the beginning and some instructional photos are in color while the rest of the book is in black & white.
